AWPhoto Assignment #3: A photograph that captures the texture of something.
Texture is the "feel" of something: the soft, floury feel of pizza crust; the chopped, slippery feel of a pile of peppers or olives; the feel of shredded cheese, then what it becomes after being melted. Everything has texture, not just food. Look closely and you'll see it.
Tips from this week:
1. Get up close. REAL close. Don't just zoom in as close as possible, get your camera right up close to the subject. Look at how the light falls on the surface, try to capture the dark and light at the same time, that'll add some good depth to the image.
2. Move yourself around the subject. If the photo isn't coming out with the look you're searching for, try looking at it from another angle. Shoot again. Try to find the spot where there's a good balance of light and dark areas.
